.19ct Fancy Vivid Green SI2 Trilliant Diamond

We've partnered with one of the world's largest cutters of Fancy Colored Diamonds to bring you guys a world class collection of exotic, rare diamonds. There's an interesting story behind this one- well interesting to me anyway.

I take most of the pictures on the site myself. Part of the process involves the fact that I've become extremely skilled with a tweezers. This comes from the years I spent as a diamond grader. Eight hours a day of picking up diamonds. Plus I'm a lefty. And I play guitar. I don't know that either of these facts is relevant, but this is my story.....

Anyway, getting back to this Fancy Vivid Green Diamond- as I was taking a picture, the little guy dropped out of my tweezers. Now, most of the time when this happens, the diamond makes a noice when it hits the ground, or you can see it immediately. This time the little bitch fell silently and invisibly.

So I get down on my knees and start looking, iphone flashlight in hand. Two important facts to keep in mind here:

1) white diamonds are easier to see than a stone with this depth of color

2) A five carat diamond is a lot easier to spot than a .19ct diamond.

So I start looking. And I keep doing so for about an hour. Stopping a few times to agonize over the fact I might be out $50K+ for this extremely rare stone and the slight miscue with my tweezers hand. Long story short (well I guess it's a bit late for that) one of the amazingly kind and beautiful ladies that work here saw me on my knees, walked in and picked up the beautiful little puppy (no longer is she the"b" word) "Are you looking for this?"

This is a unique diamond, extremely rare in the world. PURE Fancy Vivid Green, with no modifiers. The stone is remarkably bright and the green is a shade you just can't find anywhere. It's a bowed edge triliant, and nicely cut. Nice size for the weight and very lively. SI2 clarity, but that does not impact the beauty.
