1.11ct Fancy Yellow VVS2 Cushion Cut Diamond
This is a Cushion Modified Brilliant - according to GIA specs. What does that mean? The "modified" refers to additional facets added to the diamond, as compared to a cushion brilliant. The result causes the light to bounce around the diamond more which increases the color of the stone.
This particular diamond has a less common hybrid - the bottom of the stone is more of a traditional Modified Brilliant design, but the crown is like a Cushion Brilliant. So we have a generous (for a fancy colored diamond) crown and small table. The resulting light performance is spectacular. There are a lot of large bright flashes as well as really nice overall color.
The color is perfect for a fancy yellow - about halfway between Fancy Light and Fancy Intense Yellow. The purity of color is excellent as well. There is everything to love about this stone. VVS2 clarity? Hard to criticize that. EX/VS in polish and symmetry with no fluorescence - it is a premium Fancy Yellow Diamond.
