When comparing Natural Yellow GIA graded diamonds, you'll find that comparable size/color/clarity round diamonds are more costly than cushions or radiant cuts, on a per carat basis.

The reason is that it's harder for a cutter to get the color to show in a round, as compared to the other shapes. This makes it harder to find round yellows as well. So when we see a super nice one like this, we jump on it.
