I will admit that when I am assessing, then describing our diamonds, I imagine the hardest critic looking on. If there is a deficiency I want US telling you about it.
Deficiency might not be the best choice of words- compromise is a better one.
Is an SI1 worth less than a VVS1? It would seem so. From a perception standpoint, we would have to call the SI1 a compromise of sorts.
In this case, the clarity characteristics that comprise the SI1 grade are very difficult to see with a 10 power loupe - impossible to see naked eye.
If an SI1 diamond is eye clean a physical comparison would be weighted more heavily on other factors.
That would be the cut - and the type of color we see.
In many cases, fancy colored diamonds' value is not affected by clarity grading as it affects colorless diamonds. An SI1 can be worth more than a VVS1 - if it scores better on certain other vital attributes (cut and actual color).
If there are two diamonds with equal vital attributes - both of equal vital attributes - both eye clean, the higher clarity stone will indeed be worth marginally more.
Regarding this 4.32ct gem - it has a very desirable cut - based on the huge visual size. It' also has a lovely manner of playing with the light.
You have thousands of points of yellow light coming back to your eyes - even from across the room - and dim lighting as well.
Not to mention it is huge. 10.59mm is quite large.
The stone has stately proportions to its shape. In addition this stone is very well priced.
