.83ct Fancy Light Yellow VVS2 Cushion Cut Diamond
Here is an absolutely beautiful fancy light yellow cushion cut diamond. The reasons I love this diamond have to do with the color, the cut, and the clarity. In terms of the cut, it is a gorgeous cushion with great brilliance. It's got kind of an antique vibe – the small table leads to a high crown. This gives us wonderful sparkle and it's very thorough, covering the entire diamond. The diamond also has good size for its weight.
The diamond is a VVS2 clarity. Of course this is desirable, yet unlike colorless diamonds it does not add that much to the price. The diamond does possess medium blue fluorescence. That aspect actually subtracts a bit from the price. There is no visual or optical penalty for the medium blue fluorescence.
That is to say, the diamond is never milky or hazy, and even the florescence itself does not detract from the yellow color of the diamond.
