I think of pink diamonds somewhat like extremely valuable real estate... jeez, imagine how much they cost on a square foot basis!
Seriously, I look at each one as a unique property. Especially pink diamonds of size - such as diamonds over one carat - but even more for a sizable 2.25ct like this one.
I mean to say that when considering pink diamonds, each one has its own attraction (hopefully) but there is always some aspect to counter balance that. For example, a vivid pink diamond may offer all we want in terms of appearance, however it may also cost as much as a mansion with a swimming pool.
Noteworthy properties like this have their good parts and bad parts. And since pink diamonds are so rare, these aspects are rarely consistent from stone to stone. As opposed to colorless round diamonds, which are far more consistent when comparing two stones of identical grades and size. Each stone must be considered on a one-by-one basis.
In this case we are looking at a brown diamond that has a strong pink influence. It could be said that that Brown also has a positive impact on the price, if you want the price to be lower. If it was "pure" Fancy Pink 2.25ct, we would be looking at about half a million dollars to purchase one.

In terms of appearance, "Fancy Pink-Brown" can take so many forms. Sometimes the pink is hard to see.
Luckily in this case, the brown really shares the stage with the pink.
Even though brown is the primary color in the GIA grade, I see a lot of pink in real life.

More about this 2.25ct:
The cut is really nice. The stone has no patterning, instead a lot of sparkle - it is quite bright. Really attractive facet design and placement.
The overall shape is also pleasing to the eye.
It looks like a 2 1/4 carat diamond - good size for the weight.
In terms of clarity, the stone is totally eye clean.

The Ring
The ring is a success in my eyes. It really does a good job of showing off the pink in this diamond – of course that's our goal. Our "Uber" guys really do a great job with color and the pink on this ring is no exception.
