ACTUAL MOVIE of this platinum and 18kt yellow gold ring The Diamond
The moment I opened the parcel paper, I knew I wanted these gems. After the years and thousands of carats, you can just tell- even from behind- these are extraordinarily well cut. I had to have them. BUT.
BUT- we have in stock, right now, 29 diamonds between 1.20, and 1.49- like we need another 5?????
We sell thousands of diamonds, so yes, we can use them. My feeling is, a really well cut diamond will always hold value.
How many dealers are capable, and ready to buy 5 diamonds totaling nearly 7 carats in one felt swoop?
We are. We use our market force to get an amazing price.
That's why we can offer you the selection we do. That's why we have actual photos of every diamond we offer. Lot's of photos, of each one.
All
these 5 diamonds have a large look for their weight- but this one weighs so
close to a carat and a half- plus, it's rectangular- so it looks like a
2.00carat diamond. Then there's the amazing sparkle, and breathtaking
proportions. The Ring Before: After:
The 1.45 is absolutely a perfect shape for a 3 diamond ring.
The side diamonds come from an old friend of ours known simply as "Sam Spade".
When you buy emerald cuts they are generally less costly than trapezoids. When you buy them like Sam does, you're talking much less.
So much so that we can re-cut the emerald cuts into traps and still end up saving money.
Sam works with an expert cutter, who re-shapes them.
In the process, a pair of .95 total weigh emerald cuts become .79carats. Still these are competitively priced with cutters making trapezoids directly from the rough. Sam's traps are a wonderful, unique shape, with beveled corners.
In this case, we started with very white G color. These 3 diamonds are a perfect match.
The beveled edge is an important feature because it allows us to put the inside prong in a position which is almost invisible.
AS you can see the diamonds are perfectly positioned.
This means the traps are so close to the 1.45, there's no visual gap whatsoever. Neither is there any overlap.
Look at the side view, and you'll see the way we've positioned the three diamonds. The center ever so slightly higher. The sides angled down only enough to follow the curve of your finger.
Look at the thickness of the solid platinum shank.
If I was making a ring for my loved one, I could not make it any better.
Looking at the chart below, you'll see that Fancy Light Yellow is about on par with J color in terms of price. Well below the price of a D- or a Fancy Intense Yellow.
