Old diamonds are very popular. Many older stones have been re-cut over the years. In fact, demand outstrips supply. A few select cutters re-create older cuts - some do it very well.

We have our own branded Antique Diamonds - cut to increase perceived body color.

With this stone, the goal was the opposite - to reduce body color. The cutter met that goal - in stunning fashion. The stone is cut to modern precision. It really bounces a lot of light around, even in low lighting.

The Ring

The workmanship on this ring is amazing. The prongs are curved beautifully and have a wonderful claw shape to them. The lines on this ring are artfully done. The polish and finish are fantastic - something that can only be done by the finest craft people.

The side stones look like they are Fancy Intense Yellow - we were very conservative in the grading of the stones. The side stones have a cut which is not exactly "old mine" but it is like am modern sparkly version for fancy colors. They have a small table, high crow so they have a similar "puffy" profile as the center diamond.
