Branded Original Radiant Cut Diamond

Henry Grossbard had an idea. To oversimplify it, he put the facet design of a round onto an emerald cut. The Radiant Cut was born.

Today, radiant cut is one of the most popular "Fancy Shapes", but not all stones being sold as "Radiant" embody the beauty that is possible when the cut is done just so.

Most diamonds on the market are not all that well cut. It takes some effort to select the very best. When you buy an Original Radiant Cut, you're getting a stone that has proportions, and an overall appearance that is approved by the company that invented- and perfected- the design

In addition to being among the best rectangular radiant cuts I've seen- when it comes to even crushed ice- total sparkle- it's also totally colorless.

D, no whiter diamond exists. I love the fact it's an Si2. Why? Well, if we can find SI2 diamonds that show little or no visual stigma, we can save 40% over VS2. That's right, 40%. Big Number. VS1? 55% more than SI2.

This is such a stone. As you can see in these photos the imperfections are dispersed. The video is also very good in this regard. A very sharp eyed person might be able to pick up the imperfection - but even if they could, it would be very hard to see. Nothing obvious.

Stan Grossbard who runs the company today has invested in extensive research.

"The Original Radiant Cut"  guarantees you're going to get a stone that meets the strict requirements of The Original Radiant Company.

The design is flexible enough to allow a fairly wide variation in LxW. From square to rectangular. Then we have varying corners, stone to stone. Therefore there's a nice variety of different looks within the brand- to suit many tastes.

Among the attributes I love:

1) Original Radiant Diamonds generally have good size for the weight- good visual size is important

2)  Although each stone has it's own personality, most have large areas of consistent "Crushed Ice" light return.  That is to say, many small flashes of light coming back to the eye creating what looks like a bottomless pit of sparkle.

Original Radiant Cut Diamonds are extremely well cut diamonds- consistently.

The effect of intense yellow net to totally colorless is stark - dramatic - mesmerizing. The side diamonds are both well cut- and "canary" intense yellow

Below is the SI2 stone - totally eye clean

Below is the VS1 stone.
