She's going to kill me - the boss that is (who happens to be my wife). When she finds out I'm offering this diamond for this price, she'll tell me I'm nuts!
What happened is this: a cutter who's a great friend of ours finished this stone. It's quite imperfect, but the color... wow. He "gave" it to us at a price which is unrelated to the value, once we send it to GIA.
It could easily be worth double, even triple, depending on what GIA calls the color. The imperfections are all the sort that "blend in" - in other words, no black spots. Nor do the imperfections pose a durability risk.
So get it while the getting's good- because we will be sending it off, toots sweet. BTW - you're free to buy it and we'll be happy to submit it to GIA on your behalf. |
