We set this beauty in a platinum hand forged halo ring. The ring features claw shaped prongs and a smooth, rounded shank. The ring showcases the sapphire beautifully!
More about the center stone
This is an exceptional sapphire, I do not believe I have ever seen one this particular color. It is like... deep pink.
Truth be told it looks red much of the time. I thought it was a ruby when I first laid eyes on it. The fact that it manages to have this depth of color and be so bright is just another amazing aspect of it.
I love the cut. The sapphire has no windowing, yet the stone is "spready"- meaning it looks large for the weight. How cool is that?
The cutter claims this one to be no heat, however I would not want to guarantee the fact it is not heated without a GIA report - which is going to take 2-3 months. We would rather offer it as is.
The price is great, even if it was heated. |
