.87ctw Yellow Oval Diamond Earrings

Ok, so these stones are the same size - but otherwise, they don't match. Why put them together? Well, they come from a parcel we purchased. The parcel contained 302 diamonds, with a total weight of 38.52 carats. This is part of it.

When we started playing with the diamonds (heck yes we play with them) we got ideas on how to use them. The larger stones were sent to GIA. Then we started matching up sets of 3 or five or seven stones to make bands.

At some point, we have "leftovers" to play with. One of these stones is a strong Fancy Intense Yellow, super well cut. It's I1, or we'd have sent it to GIA. The other is a lighter yellow and cut more like a step cut. It's still a pretty stone, but the Intense is way nicer. The intense yellow accounts for about 80% of the price here. It's almost like getting one earring free. They will be fun and lovely to wear.
