We include our comprehensive appraisal for identification or insurance purposes. How much will my new diamond appraise for?

We have recently begun to carry Old Mine and Old European diamonds- now we're introducing a collection of estate pieces with vintage written all over them.

There's no way to guarantee that any piece of jewelry is actually antique, unless it's a piece with provenance. There's plenty of sites selling "antiques" made yesterday.

The ring gives every sign of being the "real deal" antique.
Remember, we could make a ring exactly like this one, if we wanted to.
We believe both the diamond and ring to be about 60 years old.

Buying an estate piece from Diamonds by Lauren means you enjoy all the advantages we offer on every ring we sell.

These include free size adjustment, money back guarantee, and the ability to trade up in the future.

AND- the ring is going to look brand new when you get it. It will be sized to your finger, round, and well polished.

This ring features three lovely Transitional Cut Diamonds. These are beautiful stones, which are close to modern round brilliant cut, but with a different kind of glitter. The three center stones are Transitional Cut.

All the surrounding stones on the ring are "Single Cuts". Today, with modern cutting factories all over the world capable of fully faceting even the smallest diamond, single cuts are seldom seen.

In the trade, single cuts are referred to as 8/8.
That's because there's 8 top corners, over 8 pavilion facets- with the single largest facet- called the "Table"

Even though they appear to be older stones, they are all in perfect condition. There's no abrasion whatsoever on the facet lines.

The combination of filigree and single cut diamonds produces a glitter that is completely different from the modern rings you see. Elegant and lovely.

The stones are quite colorless. We're calling them G. They are also quite clean- we'll call them VS2.

I supervise the grading here, and believe it's important to issue conservative grades. I see people grading their won stones as VVS, and think, man, what a load of crap! The difference between a VVS1, and a VS2 ( all the way down VVS2, VS1, and VS2) is very small. There's no way to grade a mounted diamond to that degree of accuracy. I mention this so you keep it in mind when shopping.

If people are overgrading, what else do they have up their sleeve?

This platinum ring is in remarkable condition.

It's already a size 7.75- so the shank is beefy
