Fancy Yellow Cushion Cut Diamond
Here is a textbook example of a big difference between Fancy Colored Diamonds, and Colorless Diamonds. The influence of the GIA clarity grade on the price of a stone like this is far less than it would be on a G color, for example. This diamond was not any less costly than other VS stones we've purchased.
The reasons we fell in love with it are the amazing cut, combined with a good body color producing a remarkably even, edge to edge yellow sparkle.
There are seemingly millions of flashes exploding randomly throughout the stone. It's a very lively diamond. Then we have the visual size - it looks like many 1.25ct stones. Put it all together and this SI2 diamond is far more desirable than many an Internally Flawless I have seen.
