This is an incredible "smorgasbord" of shapes, colors and textures - and as opposed to the all-you-can-eat salad bar at the all-inclusive resort we visited in Cancún - I LOVE IT.

The Asscher cuts are impossibly white - and definitely large enough to show their steps.
Then we have all the micro pave round diamonds - each is set into luxurious pink gold - which lends its color to them.
Their brightness is an asset here - combining with the pink reflections to turn them into teeny pink-white searchlights. This goes for both the ones on the lever back and those surrounding the wonderful orange brown cushions.

The cushions are the star of the show, which is saying a lot considering what they are up against.
How they manage to have such a deep color yet be so bright, is a wonder to me. The cut has a lot to do with that. Clearly cut by the same hand, they are as close to a perfect match as I have seen.
Each stone has a smallish table - I would estimate each at about 62%. This combines with a tall crown to give somewhat of an antique sensibility to the proportions - but the modern faceting changes that. Without that, you would never get the concentration of color of these guys.
We bought the earrings complete - they were made by someone who makes a lot of jewelry for us - and clearly, we have influenced their hand. I keep hammering into them to stop using the half GIA reports - but on stones like this it makes less difference than with really high dollar stones Honestly, I would not have thought of this combination - but I do love the results.

If you like the earrings in these photos, you will love them in person - we guarantee it!
