2.12ct J-K Fish Shape Diamond
A LOT of people are going to see this, and think it's a fluke. However, the truth is, two fish were swimming and ran into a huge concrete slab - "DAM" said one of them. Okay that's not the truth, but the I was fishing and caught this diamond. That's almost the real truth. Only I was fishing in the mystical "River of Diamonds" but really, one of our cutters is a very creative guy. And yes, It really is a one of a kind - before anyone writes to ask, no we can't get one in a VS clarity.
So let's really cut the fishing jokes and get down to the facts. The cut, as it is, is actually quite nicely done. It is technically a mixed cut - the top is step cut - the cutter left the scales on the bottom. Seriously, the bottom is a checkerboard facet pattern. The combination works so well - like cream cheese and lox. They really got the shaping nice as well.
The stone is pretty much a whitefish (salad). OK, I call it J-K- but it really does look pretty white. In terms of clarity - wow. I am blown away at how the cutter was able to get this result - a black carbon crystal in the exact right spot to be an eye. Wow.
So we have a very unique stone. I can't say the price is cheap, but it's not expensive. I tried to negotiate with the cutter but it was like swimming upstream. His point, go find another. They started with a cool piece of rough in terms of shape. Although there is a lot of "stuff" going on in terms of clarity, the brilliance is very nice. Also, they have a very strong hand in the fact that this is a quality job in terms of cutting. I'm not trying to bait you - or tell you a fishing story.
In terms of a setting: they say fish is Brain Food - if you want to bite, we'll be happy to make whatever you dream up.
