Old or
new?
We all
know what the traditional round brilliant looks like. To help you see the
difference, I've posted a photo of a very well cut round in the photo above.
It's
very....brilliant.
Compare
that to the photos of the stone in this listing. Both stones are classified as
"Round Brilliant" by GIA- yet the one for sale here, shown below- has much
shorter "Arrows" in the center.
I can see
why GIA classified this as a "Round Brilliant". The main ingredients are
surely there, but a few major detail differences give this diamond a totally
different personality. As opposed to the many, smaller flashes of the modern
well cut round brilliant, this diamond has larger flashes- chunky, if you
will.
When I
first looked at it, I thought it was an old mine cut.
Perhaps it is an
authentic older cut- somewhat transitional in nature. or a modern cutter was
going for a vintage look. Either way ,it's bokoo cool by me. Especially at
this price.
The color
is another attraction to me.
An ultra
light brown. Will this stone look good in pink? Could be....
The photos above are ACTUAL Photos of the
diamond you will receive.
